The Paper Teapot Scrapbook Kit

Three Mini Albums for some lovely ladies that I had the good fortune to work with over Autumn. 

Lots of flaps to open! 

I made three albums the same but used different papers/embellishments for each. I was rapt that I didn't need to buy anything extra to complete them except for more adhesive. 

I spent a lot of time searching Pinterest for a mini album tutorial. I wanted something fun! I  didn't have a lot of photo's but I also wanted space for the recipients to write down anything they wanted. Katherine McElvain had the perfect tutorial at Bella Blvd Studio Blog. Of course there are similar albums around but this tutorial was so easy to follow!

I had a fabulous weekend staying at Mt Maunganui where I got to scrap the whole weekend with like minded people. I wanted to make good use of the time I was away from home and I think I did great. I had no kits, pre plans or pre cut anything. But I did make a visit to Pinterest the night before and printed off a few for inspiration

Scrapping is still a very favourite thing of mine I like to do but I wanted to share a new thing...I'm  a member of Postcrossing and enjoy receiving postcards from around the world. Today I received this one and I love it so much! I love it because it brought back memories of my life at home with my parents, sisters and my youngest brother in the 70's!

My entry for July at The Paperteapot. The gorgeous background paper is from Paperzone. It is printed right here in NZ and the chipboard pieces used in the three clusters of embellishments were created at Imagine If  also in NZ. Pretty cool hey! 

Redo's, Challenges and Scraplifts!

I love to hang out at The Paper Teapot on Facebook. 
I enjoy the monthly challenges and even though I don't
 always have an entry I like to keep note of them for later inspiration. 

A total overhaul from a much older layout. 

My daughter is almost 17 but we still freeze feijoas every autumn.

Me, last century in Perth for New Years

I'm still a scrapper :)

It's been a while since I was last here but I wanted to tell you that I still play with paper and my trimmer :D  My scrapping space is now my bedroom where my papers etc are also stored along one wall. Alas there is little room for leaving out works in progress so I use the kitchen table - where I can't leave stuff out for days on end like I use to. But I still scrap, still taking photos and creating memories to share with family and friends. 

A sketch challenge that I turned on it's side. My Mum is a gardener (I guess it runs in the family since I am one too!). This is her at one of the gardens she looks after, she does jobs around the house for the elderly owner as well as driving her to various appointments around town. 

Mum say's she's a Girl Friday :D 

A challenge to create triangles in your layout. I found this layout on Pinterest and thought it was perfect! 

A scrap lift from a scrapper whose name I can't remember. 

But absolutely loved her layout and never forgot it! 

A challenge using the Rainbow Fish story for inspiration.

My very first Pocket Letter, photographed below won the Colour Challenge at Papervine. How cool is that! I won a store credit or for a few dollars more a Fuse (We are Memory Keepers).
Of course I opted for the Fuse. Wouldn't you?  Thank you very much Lowri.

Pocket Letters

My first ever Pocket Letter. 

I decided to make this to enter PaperVine's Color Challenge for May.

 It was lots of fun. 

I'm looking forward to making my next one :D

This Pocket Letter is the first ever I've received.

It was from a one on one swap at With All My Art and Soul, 

a cool group on Facebook owned my Tash

I often find myself searching for something purple to finish a layout or a card and can never find the right thing. This Pocket Letter came with lots of purple! 

Instead of being folded and popped into a business size envelope it came in the calico pouch below decorated with vintage doilies, and all of this...... talk about spoilt.
